International Flights Booked!

We have our flights booked!  We will be leaving on Feb. 27th!!!  15 days until we travel!!

The dining room table is covered in things that we will pack.  We have about 3 or 4 different lists of "things to do".  We are adding to them constantly!  It's pretty much "organized chaos" around here!

The kids are super excited, too.  It's so great to hear them say sweet things about Lila coming home and for them to show their excitement.  They are going to be awesome big siblings!

Dusty and I are so grateful for the response we've had to donating to SFCV!!

We have received:
  • all of the medication needed
  • many boxes of bandaids
  • parmesan cheese
  • mustard
  • sea salt
We are SO thrilled to be able to take all of these things that they've asked for specifically!  It's amazing what can be accomplished when we all do a little something together.  Thank you for all of you who have given to this great organization who has given our daughter a home and cared for her for most of her life.  We are incredibly thankful.

We've had a few people give very generously, their hard earned money.  Dusty and I felt uncomfortable about taking monetary donations, but for those who have, we appreciate it so much!  We will ask SFCV to put this money toward Bill's care.

Now you ask who is Bill?  Bill is Lila's best friend at SFCV.  As we've sponsored Lila the past two years, we've been told in updates that Lila and Bill were always together.  Now we see for ourselves with all of the videos and pictures of our girl, her buddy is right there with her...always.  We asked SFCV if we may bring him a gift and what he needed.  I was told that he needed a book.  They were trying to get each child a small, cardboard, colorful book of their own.  Of course my heart breaks when I see that what he needs is a book.  So I ended up buying him an outfit and a book...and 4-5 other books for children that need one.  This was something separate that I did.  The monetary donations will go toward any surgery that he might need, and basic care needs.  I noticed that he is still on the list of children that need sponsors, so it's clear that he needs money coming in for his care.  This sweet boy has been laid on our hearts.  We've been praying that he will have a forever family one day soon.
